Natural Remedies for Yeast Infections of the Vagina

There are many life style changes you can make to help control and cure a vaginal yeast infection.

Below is a list of Natural Remedies For Yeast Infections if you are suffering from a vaginal yeast infection. (You might know this condition to be called a thrush infection.) I have never experienced and oral yeast infection so I don’t have proven advice for that. I will try to inform you about what I do know.

My Secret

Clothing
The bacteria are at home in a warm and moist place and hence the vagina is just ideal for them. Try to lessen this by wearing loser underwear and clothes. Also get some natural pads and line your underwear if they are not 100% cotton.

Avoid Synthetic Products.
Avoid anything that has a nice smelling fragrance like bubble baths, bath salts, certain sanitary pads, even fabric softener. All of these products contain irritants so try when you can to choose non-scented versions of the above. Many a vaginal infection are related to the above.

Going to the Loo (toilet)
After urinating remember to wipe from front to back so as not to spread the bacteria all over.

Taking Sits baths

Run a little Luke warm water into the bath and add half a cup of salt and half a cup of vinegar to the water. Lower your bottom into there and sock for about 10 – 15 minutes. This will help to disinfect the vagina and is a great treatment for vaginal yeast infection.

Drink lots of water.
Keep a bottle of water with you and always make sure to fill it up. It’s a great reminder. I know that in winter we don’t feel like drinking a lot but sip on the water throughout the day and you will get through it in time. Also get into a habit of drinking a glass of water when you wake up and before each meal. It’s just a matter of developing habits so that you don’t forget.

Sleeping

An often overlooked type of thrush treatment is not to wear underwear at night but rather let your vaginal area get lots of air.  Panties are tight and keep the area too warm at night. That means it’s the perfect environment for yeast overgrowth.

Over The Counter Yeast Infection Treatment

I would avoid getting any un natural forms of over the counter drugs. Try natural and holistic remedies as a cure for yeast infections before you go the medical route.

Diet
There is ton’s of information on line about yeast infection diets and I am sure that you think you are going to have to go on a Candida Albicans diet and never eat sweet or processed food again. While that may be true initially, there is always room for cheating! But only on the odd occasion. Think of this rather as a means to getting the yeast overgrowth under control. The bacteria that are thriving inside of you right now live on sugar, starches, and bad fats and did I mention sugar???! You have to starve them by feeding your body with the right foods.

Mind Set
I think if people got a revelation of how these bad bacteria, love the sugar and processed food you are eating then you would soon make a big effort to change your diet. I can’t describe in enough words just how good it feels to be yeast infection free, pain free, itch free and to not smell down there anymore. Not only that, but how good it feels to wake up with more energy every morning and not feel totally zonked out by mid afternoon.
Diet is really such a fundamental part of this   whole recovery process.
At the end of the day, it will come down to you deciding with finality that you DONT want this untreated yeast infection to progress any further.

So, you will have to
1. Identify the type of yeast infection that you have
2. Start treatment according to the type of infection
3. Make significant life changes to help combat the yeast infection from ever coming back with natural remedies and treatments.
4. Educate yourself about yeast infections.

This book about yeast infections and how to treat them with natural remedies changed my life and opened my eyes.
